Based on global emissions of 59.1 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2019, the warning line of 500 billion tonnes (1.5 °C) will be exceeded by 2030 and the warning line of 1 trillion tonnes (2 °C) by 2040. 

At present, more than 120 countries around the world have proposed carbon neutrality targets. Between 2019 and 2021, most developed countries began to propose that plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 or before, accounting for 30% of the global total, and developing countries generally later than 2050, accounting for 40% of the global total.

Accelerating coal decommissioning and controlling methane have become the focus of the energy sector. In the future, energy production will shift to clean energy dominance. 

To achieve carbon neutrality, the key path and investment opportunities are first of all the leapfrog development of clean energy, and the core is the development of solar energy. It is worth noting that among all clean energy, photovoltaics may be the energy with the greatest growth space and development opportunities. By the end of 2020, China's photovoltaic installed capacity is 253GW, which is expected to reach 560GW in 2025, 1000GW in 2030, 3270GW in 2050, and 3550GW in 2060.
